The World Tourism Organization has announced that France kept its leading position on the list of the most popular tourist destinations in 2017.

The second place belongs to Spain, whereas the United States of America placed third.

Precise results regarding last year’s visits have not yet been published, but the data from 2016 say that France welcomed 82.6 million visitors, whereas the USA and Spain attracted 75.6 and 75.3 million guests.

The trend is expected to continue this year as well, and the World Tourist Organization points out that Europe is realizing extraordinary results with its Mediterranean destinations.
