Strugarevic says that the capital adequacy ratio is 32%, whereas the regulatory capital amounts to around EUR 24.5 million, and adds that Expobank is highly capitalized and highly liquid.
He also says that, in the Serbian market, Expobank will primarily orient itself towards operations with medium-sized companies, especially those oriented towards exporting to Russia and the EU.
He explains that the goal is to provide such companies with improved, simpler export to the Russian market, as well as to the EU market to a certain extent. Also, the bank will continue working with retail clients, focusing on deposits.
According to Strugarevic, Expobank is also oriented towards acquisitions of other financial institutions.
– This is a part of the process of consolidation of banks in Serbia. This and next year, we can expect a further consolidation of the banking sector – Strugarevic says.
