Gomex planning to open 30 new stores – Company focusing on central Serbia

Gomex is planning to open 30 new stores and focus on the development in central Serbia, says Goran Kovacevic, founder and director of this Zrenjanin-based store chain.

Asked about the plans for 2018 by the local portal IloveZrenjanin, Kovacevic added that the company's goal was to increase its sales by 20%, enhance its consumer services, raise wages and make a profit.

– Last year, we opened 16 new stores, renovated many of them, implemented new services for citizens, and we still managed to earn something – he says.

The strategic orientation of Gomex, Kovacevic explains, is towards opening stores of 250-500 square meters and focusing on food products.

– This store format requires good positioning. That's why they're called “neighborhood” stores. It turns out that this is a global trend, so we have caught up with the world in this aspect at least – he adds.
