Cornerstone laid for factory of car parts "Reum" in Svilajnac

Construction of factory of car parts "Reum" started yesterday (October 21, 2008) in Svilajnac. The value of investment is 10m EUR and, once the construction is finished, over 300 new workers will get jobs in the new factory. Production will be export-oriented and the factory will be producing plastic components and automated control systems for leading automobile manufacturers, such as "Mercedes", "BMW", "Porsche" and "Volkswagen".

- The industry of car parts employs large number of people and the Government of Serbia will grant 4,000 EUR through SIEPA agency for every newly employed worker in the factory, and that is the stimulus that will be generally provided for the automobile industry on the territory of Pomoravlje - Dinkić pointed out.

Town Hall of Svilajnac promised to allot 5 ha of land in industry zone "Veliko Polje", equipped with complete infrastructure, to company "Reum", while German partner is obliged to open the factory and start production by the end of March 2009.
