Adoption of PPRP to unblock Yumco account

The Pre-packaged Reorganization Plan (PPRP) of Yumco Vranje has not yet been adopted, and once this happens, the factory’s central account will be unblocked, says Branislav Popovic, chairman of the Supervisory Board of Yumco.

Popovic confirms that there is no deadline date for the process of adoption of the PPRP for Yumco, the Vranjske portal reports.

– This is a procedure in which every party interested in this factory participates – the Ministry of Economy, the Commercial Court of Leskovac, creditors and everyone who has done business with this company, and their duty is to state their position and potentially provide complaints regarding the plan, which is why we cannot yet say when the PPRP is to be adopted – Popovic explains.

Regarding the current blocking of the account, Popovic says that “the only one, that is, the central account of the company, has been blocked for years”.

– This is a consequence of the heavy burden inherited from the past period, but the management of Yumco and the Ministry of Economy need to deal with these problems and look for the best solution for the factory – Popovic believes.
