Jagodina to lease aquapark – Applications by December 28

The tender for the lease of the aquapark in Jagodina through a public collection of bids is open until December 28, following which it will be known who is to run this sports and recreation center in 2018.

As stated in the ad placed by the City of Jagodina, the aquapark is leased for a year, and the lowest monthly rent is around EUR 5,500 without VAT, in dinar countervalue.

All legal persons that meet the terms listed in the ad may take part in the contest. The future lessee obliges to, among other things, secure constant medical supervision in the aquapark during the season, pay all the material costs (power, water, waste disposal...), take in 20 permanent employees to maintain the aquapark throughout the year, provide wardrobe facilities, a sanitary block and a pool equipment service workshop...

The bids are to be submitted to the City Administration for Urban Planning, Construction, Municipal, Housing and Property-Legal Policy in Jagodina.

The aquapark in Jagodina is the first facility of its kind in Serbia and was opened in July 2007. It is located 2 kilometers away from the town center and takes up 3.5 hectares. It features 7 pools and 9 waterslides totaling around 600 meters in length.

In the past years, there have been allegations about a potential sale, which has not happened so far.

The aquapark operated as part of the Jagodina Sports Association.
