Negotin to get free-trade zone

The Municipality of Negotin has obtained permission to build a free-trade zone on 22 hectares next to the Negotin fairgrounds, says Boban Stingic of the Temporary Body of the municipality, as reported by the local self-government's official website.

– Everything has been agreed and harmonized and now it remains to be realized. A free-trade zone is much more than one, two or several investors, as companies have the need to operate in a free zone, especially here, where the borders cross. I believe that the free zone is the most significant thing we could do for Negotin and our area – Stingic said.

The development of free areas in the Milosevski Put settlement, on an unused 1,600-m2 area, has also been announced. A big basketball court, a children's playground and an outdoor gym are also planned. The public procurement procedure for the development of this area will take place in early 2018, and the value of works will amount to RSD 7 million.
