"ComTrade" and "LG Electronics" signed contract on cooperation - about 1,000 products of Korean company at prices adapted for our market

The buyers of Serbia will soon be able to buy about 1,000 products of Korean company "LG Electronics" at the prices adapted for our market. This multinational company, with the headquarters in South Korea, signed the contract with "ComTrade" group, worth tens of millions of euros, on Thursday (October 9, 2008). According to that contract, the up-to-date electronic appliances of Korean company should be included in the offer of retail facilities of Serbian group.

The contract with the multinational company that has 80,000 workers and registered 50 billion USD worth of turnover in 2007, as Veselin Jevrosimović, President of "ComTrade" group, explained, is going to make it possible for "ComTrade" to become the leader in field of sale of electronic appliances.

- Our aim is to draw attention of "LG Electronics" to the market of Serbia with the good sales results - said Jevrosimović on the occasion of the contract signing. - If everything goes as planned, the next step, which should be taken in 2009, will be moving of part of production of this corporation to Serbia.

This was also confirmed by Alan Song, President of "LG Electronics" for central and east Europe.

- Our company has become an important global brand, first of all, because of our care for consumers, which is the key element for survival on the leading place in the market - Song pointed out. - Our main business goal is to be among the top three global manufacturers, while our regional goal is be either the first or the second in all segments of our production. In order to make that happen, we find it neccessary to increase our presence in Serbia. Serbia is one of the most attractive markets in the region, it has a great capacity and this approach is the only way for us to reach the buyers who do not give up top quality for design.
