The company was founded in 2015 in Belgrade, as part of the international group Yavuz International Company.
The lease agreement was signed by the president of the Municipality of Mali Zvornik, Zoran Jevtic, and the company's director, Jasmin Kurtanovic.
– In the first round, by February, Yavuz will employ 16 workers in Brasina. Next year, the employer plans to hire another 14 workers and so on each next year – Jevtic said and added that the local self-government would do everything in its power to provide the company with favorable conditions for business and an expansion of the production.
Around 60 unemployed people responded to job interview invitations, organized by the Municipality of Mali Zvornik and the National Employment Service.
– We are planning to expand the industrial zone. We are also looking for new areas and new possibilities, not just for this one, but for other investors as well – he added.
The opening of the joinery plant in Brasina will be supported through the program of subsidies for employment with RSD 200,000 per employee.
Mustafa Yavuz, the owner of the company, said that the decision on moving the factory, which operates as Bauwin Decor, had been made due to more favorable business conditions, state help, affordable lease, workforce and the location, which is of strategic importance for the company.
– Mali Zvornik is a strategically important place for us, due to the proximity of the production facilities our company has in Bosnia and Herzegovina – Yavuz said and added that the workers selected would be employed immediately and that they would be sent for training to one of the factories in Bosnia, either in Brcko or in Srebrenik.
Yavuz said that the company had ten different production sectors, that it employed around 400 workers in several facilities in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that he wanted to reach the same number in Serbia. He said that the company's production, sales and export grew in Bosnia and Herzegovina each year by 20%.
Mustafa Yavuz also said that the facility in Mali Zvornik was to produce PVC joinery, but that the production of wood joinery was planned for the future as well.
According to him, the company invested around EUR 100,000 in the opening of the facility in Mali Zvornik, and the plan is to open another facility there in 2019, if the business climate remains favorable, the website of the municipality adds.
