Amazon to employ another 50,000 robots

Amazon, the eighth biggest private employer in the world, with an annual growth of the number of employees of 40%, has announced a new wave of employments, Politika reports.

It plans to add another 50,000 workers to its workforce, robots at that, which has lead to criticism that it is destroying jobs. Amazon has already employed 55,000 robots this year and the employment rate of this type of worker is expected to keep on increasing dramatically.

The company announced that it had had 45,000 robots on its employee list at the end of 2016 and that their total number would grow to 120,000 before the end of 2017, Politika reports.
