Up-to-date machines worth 5.3m EUR arrived in copper mines in Bor and Majdanpek

The up-to-date imported mining machines worth 5.3m EUR have been delivered to the copper mines in Bor and Majdanpek. The mines provided the money for this procurement from their own sources. They also bought 2.5m EUR worth of German dredge in October 2007.

- These machines will contribute to the significant growth of current average monthly copper production of 1,500 tons. Once the new deposits in Cerovo and in "Borska reka" are opened next year, production will be nearly doubled. After eight years of stoppage, the third section of Krivelj's flotation has recently been put in operation, so that the whole ore production will be successfully processed. There will be some more investments in equipment, which will enable achievement of the goal - overall production of about 60,000 tons of copper and projected quantity of gold - Nebojša Bućan, the Assistant of the Director of copper mine "Bor", pointed out.
