Serbian stocks included in new "Dow Jones STOXX" indices

- Company "Dow Jones STOXX", the leading provider of European stock indices, launched the new family of indices yesterday (October 7, 2008) for measuring performances of stocks that are traded in 18 Eastern European countries - the Belgrade Stock Exchange announced.

New family of indices of company "Dow Jones STOXX" includes 18 countries of Eastern Europe, while the performances of Serbian companies will be tracked within the scope of following indices: "Dow Jones STOXX Eastern Europe TMI", "Dow Jones STOXX Balkan TMI", "Dow Jones STOXX Sub Balkan TMI" and "Dow Jones STOXX Sub Balkan 30", as well as within certain sector indices.

According to the words of the President of Supervisory Board of company "Dow Jones STOXX", Werner Burki, the region of Eastern Europe represents developing economies that ensured enviable incomes in the previous period and, with the new "Dow Jones STOXX" indices, the investors will be able to track performances in the region on the basis of clear, comparable and precise indices.

"Dow Jones STOXX Sub Balkan 30" index provides Blue-chip representation of the supersector leaders in the Sub Balkan region covering 30 stocks of Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia and Serbia and, at this moment, the basket of this index includes the stocks of five companies from Serbia: AIK banka, Komercijalna banka, Agrobanka, Sojaprotein and Energoprojekt holding.
