- "Nexe Group" from Našice will invest about 44m EUR in three companies in Serbia that are majority owned by the group - the President of Administration of "Nexe Group", Ivan Ergović, announced.
He said that the realization of two investments worth 11m EUR each was underway. These are the investments in Sremski Karlovci-based brick factory "Stražilovo" and cement factory "Jelen Do" in west Serbia, while the realization of 22m EUR worth of investment in "Polet" in Novi Bečej should start soon.
- We are going to have a new line for production of limestone installed in "Jelen Do", as well as a new furnace worth 11m EUR. We have just finished realization of the same investment in "Stražilovo" and now a brand new line for production of bricks is in trial operation - said Ergović.
The investment in "Jelen Do" will make it possible for this cement factory to increase production capacity to 350 tons of limestone a day, that is, 125,000 tons on annual basis. That is the largest individual investment in this cement factory ever.
The new unit for production of thermo-insulation bricks with lighter clay mass in "Stražilovo" will make it possible for this company to export the whole product portfolio of thermal bricks to European market.
Ergović announced that the final preparations for construction of new brick factory and dry-processing unit in Novi Bečej-based "Polet" were underway.
Development of the factory and the unit should start next year, while full production is expected in 2010.
