According to the agreement, the state's participation will amount to two thirds of the investment. The purchase of capsules and the construction of the infrastructure will be financed through the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications and will be carried out by the Ski Resorts of Serbia.
– The City will set aside RSD 600 million for this project from the next year's budget. It is very important for the development of the capital of Serbia. We are financially stable now, which allows us to make these investments. I thank Minister Rasim Ljajic, who has supported us – Mali said.
As Mayor Mali says, gondola is an attractive means of public transport.
– It will have an impact on tourism. The preparations and the carrying out of this plan are expected to produce positive effects in terms of traffic as well. Pedestrian and cyclist safety and comfort will improve as well. It will reduce the emission of toxic gases – Mali concludes.
– The activities carried out so far have been based on creating the necessary conditions for the construction, and the process of adopting a planning document is currently in progress. Parallel with this, the documentation is being prepared, and the tender for the construction works and the provider of the equipment might be opened once all the necessary conditions for the realization of the projects have been met, which we expect to take place in the summer of 2018 – the company Ski Resorts of Serbia says.
