Alibaba interested in Serbian market – Cooperation in tourism, e-commerce and logistics agreed

State Secretary at the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Tatjana Matic said on December 4, following a meeting with the heads of Alibaba at the group's headquarters in Hangzhou, that the company had shown great interest in expanding its business to the Serbian market.


– Cooperation between Alibaba and the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications in the fields of tourism, e-commerce and logistics was agreed – Matic said and specified that working teams would be formed for the purpose of defining activities for the realization of joint projects within those fields.

She added that, after concrete project activities are defined, a Memorandum of Understanding would be signed between the ministry and Alibaba Group, the press release says.

At the meeting in Hangzhou, representatives of Alibaba presented the activities of their company, which operates in 156 countries of the world and which currently has over 11 million employees and 488 million active users.
