Ministry of Economy invites Chinese companies to privatize Serbian firms

(From the Belgrade meeting) State Secretary at the Ministry of Economy, Dragan Stevanovic, talked to Deputy Minister of Industry and Information Technologies of China Xin Guobin about enhancing the economic cooperation and invited Chinese investors to submit letters of interest for the privatization of companies from the portfolio of the Ministry of Economy.

Guobin pointed out that investors from China would certainly be incited by the positive example of the Chinese company HBIS in the Smederevo steel mill to arrive to Serbia themselves.

As announced by the Ministry of Economy, Stevanovic and Guobin also agreed that “the realization of the project of the construction of the joint Serbian-Chinese Park of Friendship in Smederevo will create great possibilities for further enhancement and strengthening of economic cooperation”.
