Erste Grupa and DLL join forces at the leasing market in CEE

EErste Group Bank AG and DLL (De Lage Landen International BV) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the intention of establishing a strategic alliance in connection with its supplier and leasing finance activities in Central and Eastern Europe.

Countries to which this applies are Austria, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.

Through the planned strategic alliance, Erste Group and DLL are planning to expand their joint venture to offer the best financial solutions to their partners and clients, and opportunity to make progress to their employees.

- Total estimated potential of this market is more than 17 billion EUR. By joining with DLL, one of the largest leasing companies in the world, our ambition is to build new direct links with clients and expand our portfolio. In addition, we will benefit from the expertise of the company and its vast network of global relationships - Karin Schmit Mitcheler, head of the Commercial Real Estate and Leasing Department at Erste Group said.

Mark Dierckx, Financial Manager of DLL, said " planned alliance would enable DLL to exploit wide network and capabilities of Erste Group across Central and Eastern Europe. Most importantly, DLL partners will gain access to competitive prices and support in countries where Erste has capacities ".
