As of December 5 Serbia will get accreditation to use EUR 175 m from EU IPARD funds, since EC audit control saw that all technical conditions are met, Blic reports.

In other words, the newspaper reports, the team of Agriculture Minister Branislav Nedimovic managed to eliminate all four shortcomings that in the past five years were an obstacle for Serbian farmers to reach Brussels funds.

This is a secured area of 2,500 square meters for the Administration for Agrarian Plans, building of Srbijasume was renovated, the Law on Agriculture was amended, and also solutions for IPARD procedures defined.

The official accreditation paper needs to be waited because it would have to arrive from Brussels at the address in Nemanjina street until December 5, when it is expected that EC will formalize it and immediately after that, Serbian farmers will be able to use the money.

All the rules on conditions for obtaining funds were adopted and in the second and third week of December the first calls for tractors and other machinery will be sent, and EUR € 40 m will be enabled to farmers for this purpose.
