The Danish Ambassador to Serbia visits the Mayor of Niš

September 25, 2008, the Ambassador of Denmark to Serbia, Ms. Mette Kjuel-Nielsen met with the Mayor of Nis, Mr. Milos Simonovic.

Among other things the Ambassador and the Mayor discussed possibilities for further cooperation between Danish companies and companies in the Nis area and bilateral development cooperation.

Denmark ranks among the top bilateral donors in the Nisava District through the Program for Local Economic Development in the Balkans (LEDIB). The LEDIB office, which is located in Nis, works for furthering the development of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises in close cooperation with the newly established Office for Local Economic Development in Nis. The five year LEDIB program has a total budget of EUR 10 million
