Tender for design of Pirot-based logistics center released



The Republic of Serbia, as stated in the documentation published by the City, occupies a central place in Southeast Europe, where significant trans-transit corridors are crossing (Corridor H and Corridor VII - the Danube River), according to state and local strategies and plans, the construction of one Intermodal Terminal in Pirot within the Free Zone as a part of the logistics center.
In stage I, proposed solution should allow receipt
and dispatch of 1 intermodal train and transfer of at least 100 containers per
day, as well as receipt and dispatch of 100 road freight vehicles, with appropriate
number of parking spaces for waiting.
In the second stage, expansion of terminal should be planned, that is, the
extension of tracks and traffic and storage tanks and formation of intermodal
terminal of passing type, and in the final stage, crane path and portal crane
above overloading tracks and conveyor transport belt.
As eKapija previously reported, investment should have totalled EUR 1,3 m wile it takes at least two years for terminal construction and procurement of equipment. .
