Kragujevac-based Fiat Chrysler Automobili is currently halting production of 500L model, FoNet finds out from the source at the factory.

Production halt began November 20 and the assembly lines will be re-launched on Thursday, November 30.

FCA did not state anything about this halt, and according to unofficial information, Kragujevac-based factory is close to achieving this year's production plan, and by the end of the year it will produce only the number of vehicles which market needs.

500L has been recording a decline in sales, although it is still the best-selling in its segment in Europe, and this could be one of the reasons of production halt.

Kragujevac factory has annual capacity of 185,000 cars ar, and since the beginning of production, it has sold about 600,000 different variants of the 500L.

This year, it has produced 85,000 vehicles and the largest production was achieved in 2014, when more than 116,000 cars were sold.
