FAP freed from RSD 8,7 billion debts - Negotiations on truck delivery to Algeria and Egypt continue

The Appellation Court in Belgrade confirmed last week validity of pre-pack plan for Priboj-based FAP, which created conditions that the plant becomes a part of defense industry . With this decision, all debts of about RSD 8.7 billion will be converted into capital of this company.

According to Ranko Vukovic, company director, waiting for pre-pack plan slowed down of export business.- On Sunday, we had a meeting with a company from Algeria that opens the door for delivery of 300 trucks in parts, per year, for civilian needs – Vukovic says.

Apart from that, last year, FAP sent a sample of chassis for battle vehicles in desert conditions to Egyptian company Kader

- All the tests have been successful. At the beginning of December, we are traveling to Egypt to continue negotiations on production of 250 chassis - Vukovic says. At the same time, FAP is ending truck contingent for the Army of Serbia and expects a new contract with the Ministry of Defense.
