First conference of International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) in Serbia

The first conference of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) in Serbia will be held on Friday, October 3, 2008, at 11 AM, in the premises of the Chamber of Commerce of Serbia, 13-15 Resavska Street.

USAID Project for development of competition has started the project for founding of the National Association of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC - Federation International Des Ingenieurs – Conseils) in Serbia in association with some of the leading Serbian building companies, such as "MACE", "YU Build" and FIDECO, in order to increase competitiveness of companies from Serbia in the international market.

The conference will be attended by big number of companies from the building sector, representatives of the Government of Republic of Serbia and relevant ministries, representatives of the US Agency for International Development (USAID), as well as renowned experts from FIDIC.

FIDIC is the world's largest association that stipulates standards for building projects management. Nearly all international financiers and investors (World Bank, EBRD), leading international commercial banks and investment funds demand realization of their investment projects by FIDIC standards.
