"General Electric" interested in production of locomotives in Serbia - representatives of US company in Belgrade in mid-October

- US company "General Electric" is
interested in having a locomotive factory built in Serbia - Deputy Prime
Minister of Serbia, Mlađan Dinkić, announced.
Dinkić said in New York that the
representatives of US company "General Electric", which was also interested in participation
in modernization of Serbian railways, would visit Belgrade in mid-October.
Dinkić, who is also the Minister of Economy and Regional Development, took part, together with President of Serbia Boris Tadić, in the Global Investment Conference in Harvard Club in New York.
According to the words of Dinkić, "General Electric" intends to find appropriate suppliers among Serbian companies.
- Serbia is eager to animate large US computer
and IT companies, such as IBM, Intel, Dell, to come to Serbia and the aim of our Government is to revive IT industry in the following period - said Dinkić.
At the Global Investment Symposium in New York, companies "US Steel", "Ball Packaging" and "Spinnaker" gave the reviews of their successful operations and recommended Serbia as an investment location.
