Agreement of Serbia and Russia on social protection in 2017

Serbian Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Policy Zoran Djordjevic and Russian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Maxim Topilin both took the position that the Agreement on Social Protection between the two countries should be signed by the end of 2017, seeing how a considerable number of Serbian citizens work in Russia.


The two ministers also agreed for the Agreement on Temporary Labor and Employment to be regulated as soon as possible, so that the relations and rights of Serbian workers in the Russian Federation and of Russian workers in Serbia would be protected in the mutual interest, the ministry announced.

There was also talk about the care for the disabled persons, a priority in both states, as well as about the examples of good practice in the said field carried out in Russia and Serbia.

The competent ministers discussed the continuation of the cooperation in the field of pension insurance and enhancing the activities of the National Employment Service and agreed that sharing experiences was very important for improving the demographics in both countries.
