Serbia second in production of raw oil in Western Balkans – Daily consumption 76,000 barrels

Albania is the biggest producer of raw oil in the Western Balkans, with 21,100 barrels a day, whereas Serbia takes second place with 20,560 barrels produced a day, says the report of the Athens Institute for Energy of Southeast Europe, as reported by ATA.

It is stated that the daily consumption of oil in Albania amounts to 24,000 barrels, whereas 76,000 barrels are consumed in Serbia each day.

Croatia's daily consumption is identical to that of Serbia, but the country produces less raw oil, according to the Institute, amounting to 18,000 barrels a day.


In the wider area of Southeast Europe, Bulgaria produces 3,600 barrels a day, whereas Greece produces 1,900. Romania dominates with 103,000 barrels of raw oil produced each day, followed by Turkey with 61,000 barrels.
