South Korean Essex Balkan to raise factory in Zrenjanin? – City waiting for authorization for sale of land by Government

The City of Zrenjanin is negotiating with the company Essex Balkan about the purchase of building land in the Industrial Zone Southeast, the website of the local self-government reported.

This is a South Korean company, which manufactures cable products and is interested in employing 150 people by 2023.

– We have been negotiating with this South Korean company for a year now, and we have managed to get them interested in coming to Zrenjanin and offered our industrial zone, where our prices of urban building land are in effect. Only the Government of Serbia may authorize discounts below that price. We have prepared a study and it will be sent to the Government. If the Government approves it, the land will be given at a lower price, and the benefit is that a new factory will open and that people of Zrenjanin will be employed – Mayor Cedomir Janjic said.
