EIB to double investments in Western Balkans countries

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is planning to double the investments in the countries of the Western Balkans in the next three years, from EUR 1.5 billion to EUR 3 billion, Dubravka Negre, head of the regional EIB office, stated on Friday, November 10, 2017.

– We are also planning grants for project preparation, a critical point in project realization, and we have around EUR 30 million for that purpose – Negre said in Belgrade at the regional forum Belgrade Investment Days.

She pointed out that a lot had been done to improve regulations in Serbia, but that investing in workforce and institutions was important for the realization of projects.
