Government of Serbia adopts agreement on manner of financing of construction of Preljina-Pozega highway

The Government of Serbia adopted the Decision on adopting a commercial agreement on design and construction works on the Preljina-Pozega section of the E-763 highway on Thursday, November 9, 2017.

The Decision pertains to the agreement between the Government of Serbia, the Public Enterprise Roads and Serbia and China Communications Construction Company Ltd, it was announced following the Government’s session.

The aim of signing the commercial agreement is the defining of the manner of financing the construction of this section of the highway, in order to enable the completion of the Belgrade-South Adriatic project, with a total length of 258 km, the press release says.

The Memorandum of Understanding on the cooperation on the Belgrade-South Adriatic project, sections Preljina-Pozega and Pozega-Boljare, were recently signed by representatives of the Government of Serbia and the said Chinese company in Beijing, during the One Belt, One Road forum, which took place in May 2017.
