As the statement by the EU Delegation to Serbia says, the Commission was obliged to complete the analysis due to Serbia's obligations within the Stabilization and Association Agreement of complying with the EU regulations in the field of state aid, especially regarding companies in restructuring.
The analysis is fully independent of the recent antidumping case, which was also resolved in favor of the Smederevo steel mill.
– We thank the Serbian authorities for a very good cooperation during the process – the EU Delegation to Serbia points out in its statement.
