Trendtex to open production facility in Bela Palanka – Employment of 250 planned

The adaptation of the premises in Bela Balanka where the production facility of Trendtex should open is close to being completed. The procurement of the equipment to be mounted in the production facility of the factory located at the entrance to Bela Palanka is in progress, Pirotske Vesti reports.

– We expect the adaptation of the hall to be completed by mid-November. We are satisfied with the way the works have been conducted so far. Parallel to this, the applicants are being trained for work at the factory, and 150 of them have gone through the training so far – said Goran Miljkovic, the president of the municipality.

There's great interest for working in the factory, and around 520 CVs have been sent. All the applicants will go through the training, following which the company's representatives are to conduct the selection process.

– What's good is that we will be able to employ 250 people with our first investor and this is why this textile factory is the biggest capital project in the the past two decades – Miljkovic pointed out.

He added that the municipality was negotiating with investors from Austria and Germany interested in greenfield investments, that is, in raising new production facilities in the industrial zone.

– Following the visits by company representatives, during which we had all the necessary talks and took a tour of the industrial zone, we expect their answer by the end of the month – Miljkovic said.
