Dinkić spoke to management of company "Daimler" - suppliers of "Mercedes" in Subotica

Within the scope of his visit to Germany, Minister of Economy and Regional Development of Serbia, Mlađan Dinkić, visited company "Daimler" yesterday (September 15, 2008) and spoke to its President and Executive Manager Joahim Šmit.

- Having in mind that "Mercedes" made the decision earlier to assemble automobiles in Kečkemet, Hungary, in the vicinity of our border, we came to the agreement that the seminar of suppliers of "Mercedes" be organized in Subotica and that the opportunities for investments in production of car-parts in Vojvodina be presented on that occasion - said Dinkić.

Dinkić said that the representatives of company "Daimler" had been presented the potentials for investments in automobile industry in Serbia and he said that Serbia had earned over 1 billion EUR fro export of car parts in 2008. He also pointed out that our country would start exporting ready-made automobiles following the signing of the contract with "Fiat".
