Vojvodina became a partner in the international project "Danube regions", worth 2,5 million EUR

Provincial secretariat for regional and international cooperation of Vojvodina, became yesterday (September, 10th, 2008) a partner in the international project "Danube regions", worth 2,5 million EUR.

As it was stated in the announcement of the Secretariat, the project is directed towards strengthening cooperation among the regions of the Danube flow. Also, towards preparation of the concept of area planning in order to stregthen the functionality of the region "as the engine for development and competition".

The project includes preparation of the Danube catalog, analysis of transportation and technical infrastructure, human resources, industrial strength of Municipalities and the cities, as well as natural resources of the regions within the Danube flow, as "Pan European corridor 7".

The project is lead by Slovakia, and the new partners' meeting will be held on October, 15th-16th, 2008, in Bratislava.

Besides Secretariat for regional and international cooperation of Vojvodina, representatives from Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary and Romania will be also participating.
