The largest kindergarten in region opened in Novi Sad

President of the Executive Council of Vojvodina, Bojan Pajtić, has opened the largest and the most modern nursery school in the region today (September 8, 2008) in Novi Sad. Construction of this facility lasted for only 6 months.

The kindergarten in Novo Naselje, in Bate Brkića Street, can receive more than 600 kids and the Capital Investments Fund invested 200m RSD in it.

According to the words of the Principal of Nursery School "Radosno detinjstvo", Borislav Samardžić, Novi Sad is on its way to become the first city in Serbia without waiting lists for kindergartens.

- There were about 2,500 kids on the waiting lists about a year ago, while that number is now cut in half, and it depends on the funds in the budget of city of Novi Sad whether these lists will completely cease to exist - Samardžić pointed out.

He announced completion of works on reconstruction of another two kindergartens and commencement of construction of new central kitchen.
