PALMA: Opening of aircraft plant in Jagodina in early November 2017

(Dragan Markovic Palma) An aircraft plant will open in Jagodina, which will temporarily be located in former Plavi Kljuc in the town on Belica and later moved to the Stipljanski Put Street, where the company has bought farming land for the purpose. This was announced on October 17 by the president of the Municipality of Jagodina, Dragan Markovic Palma, at the ceremony on the occasion of the WW2 Liberation Day.

– In a modern world, it is prestigious for a town to have an airport. I promise that we will have it in four years and that it will be able to handle ATR planes with 90 passengers. A hundred young people will be employed at the plant. We plan to have a pilot academy active in a few years as well and to have students from all over the world trained there – Palma added.

It was previously announced that the aircraft plant Aero East Europe Kraljevo would open a facility for the production of the light aircraft Sila in Jagodina, which will accelerate the construction of an airport in the town.
