"AS osiguranje" in operation - founding capital in amount of 5m EUR

Insurance company “AS osiguranje" from Belgrade, which was put in operation on September 5th, plans to cover 2% of the insurance market in Serbia within next two years.

"AS osiguranje" was founded by insurance company “Adriatic Slovenica" from Koper with the founding capital of 5m EUR. That is the first foreign insurance company that obtained the license for founding new insurance company in Serbia.

“AS osiguranje", which will be dealing with all types of non-life insurance services, received the license from the National Bank of Serbia in January 2008. "Adriatic Slovenica" is the second largest insurance company in Slovenia and its profit in 2007 amounted to about 27m EUR.

The representatives of "Adriatic Slovenica" pointed out that the commencement of work of "AS osiguranje" signified the commencement of expansion of that insurance company to the market of southeast Europe.
