Free Zone Pirot among world’s best in 2017 as well

(Free Zone Pirot) For the fifth time in a row, the fDi Magazine of the Financial Times ranks Free Zone Pirot highly. It has been pronounced winner in the Large Tenants category, as well as the best place in the world for operations of large companies.
As fDi Magazin writes “The zone attracts manufacturers wishing to export their goods, offering several support programs for exporting. A logistics centre was established in 2016, with an intermodal terminal and warehousing and support facilities that allow haulers to transit goods from road to railway”. It also says that Free Zone Pirot in Serbia counts Irelly, a toymaker that supplies IIKEA, and tire manufacturer Tigar Tyres among its tenants.
When it comes to support to exporting, Free Zone Pirot is presented as an example of the best support to companies operating within it, which export their products to foreign markets in the most efficient manner. Thanks to this, Pirot Free Zone has also won the Export Support award.
Furthermore, Pirot Free Zone ranks among the best zones in the world looking by expansion of capacities and support to development of small companies. The magazine says that startups located in Serbia and its free zones can apply for the program of financial support to investments, which provides grants of up to EUR 8,000 for initiating the production activities.
The awards are a great stimulation for further operations of Free Zone Pirot, which continuously realizes enhancement of working conditions for its users, improvement of the business environment for the purpose attracting new users and enhancement of services offered by the zone to its tenants.
