Tiago Caruso, brand representative in the region, says that the company is currently focused on expanding its network in Europe and that they are looking for a franchisee for the region encompassing the countries of the former Yugoslavia.
– Pressto primarily wants to find a recipient of the master franchise which would be in charge of the entire region of the countries of the former Yugoslavia. We believe that this is possible, as there are numerous examples of companies which cover the entire region, and, considering that these are similar countries, connected by history and similar languages, we believe that one franchisee might feasibly develop the Pressto franchise from Slovenia to Macedonia. Not only would there not be barriers, thanks to the ties between these markets, but it would also be more cost-effective. It is better to buy the rights for the entire region, than for one country only or for several countries.
– We would, of course, consider and accept requests from potential franchisees for one country only. The expansion of the network through single-unit franchises is, however, not something we recommend in this phase and we are not offering this option for now – Caruso explains.
Compared to other brands from this field, Pressto stands apart due to certain services not offered by others. For example, they perform slight corrections on items of clothing, provide ironing services and clean demanding pieces of clothing like wedding dresses, leather items, motorcycle helmets...
The potential franchisee is expected to be a serious company with sufficient capital, as the initial franchise fee for all the countries of the region amounts to around EUR 150,000, without including the investment in dry-cleaning facilities themselves.
The investment in the first outlet is estimated at around EUR 120-140,000. Each next outlet can have a smaller area and does not have to offer the identical range of services. The average investment amounts to EUR 30,000 for the Recollection Point, or EUR 80,000 for a classic outlet.
