Serbia and Turkish company Taypa sign memorandum of understanding – First step towards plant in Kraljevo

Minister of Economy Goran Knezevic and the president of the Turkish company Taypa Tekstil Giyim, Mesut Toprak, signed a memorandum of understanding on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, which is the first step towards an investment of EUR 35 million in the new factory of this Turkish producer in Kraljevo. The facility should employ as many as 2,500 workers.


Minister Knezevic and Toprak signed the memorandum as part of the Serbia-Turkey Business Forum, held in Belgrade, in the presence of the presidents of Turkey and Serbia, Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Aleksandar Vucic, the Ministry of Economy reported.

The business forum was attended by the ministers of the Government of Serbia, but also Turkish ministers, as well as businessmen of both countries, nearly 200 form Turkey alone.
