VLM Airlines from Maribor has officially confirmed that it will operate the routes from Maribor to Belgrade and Zurich, EX-YU Aviation News reports.

As said earlier, the route between the second biggest city in Slovenia and Belgrade will be operated five times a week, Monday through Friday, by a 50-seat Fokker 50 plane. Departures from Maribor are scheduled for 8.05 am, and departures from Belgrade are scheduled for 10.25 am.

Furthermore, the airline will also be carrying out five flights a week between Maribor and Zurich.

Both routes become active on October 30, and the tickets are expected to be made available soon.

The last time there was a functioning air route between Belgrade and Maribor was in 1992, prior to the beginning of the dissolution of Yugoslavia.
