The first home computer for many who were born in the 1970s and the 1980s was the unforgettable “fat boy”, the legendary Commodore 64, which first saw the light of day in 1982. It was used to play the first video games, learn the basics of computing and programming and it served as a foundation of computer literacy for today's everyday use of computers.

The new product is sure to be welcomed by all nostalgic and retro gamers, and maybe even by modern gamers tired of today's overproduced video games.

Commodore 64 returns in a slightly different form, at about 50% of the size of the original one.

A modern version of a classic, C64 Mini, a toy-console with pre-installed games from the era of the original “fat boy”, will appear in the market in 2018. The console will be accompanied by a joystick identical to the one from the 1980s.

As the console will not have a functioning keyboard, it will be possible to connect C64 Mini to a modern computer and keyboard by a HDMI cable. Users will also be able to create their own games.

C64 Mini should cost around GBP 70 (EUR 80).
