Swedish furniture manufacturer IKEA announced on Friday, September 29, 2017, that it was taking over TaskRabbit, an online platform connecting freelancers with people looking for a service.
TaskRabbit will continue operating as an independent company, IKEA said, without disclosing the financial details of the contract, France-Presse reports.
– In a fast-changing retail environment, we continuously strive to develop new and improved products and services to make our customers’ lives a little bit easier – said Jesper Brodin, chief executive of IKEA.
Let us remind that IKEA has recently opened its first department store in Serbia and that the construction of two new facilities in the next five years has also been planned.
