Mine Veliki Krivelj to monthly produce 400 tons of copper more than before - "third section" unit put into operation

The unit of the "third section",
which will be producing about 400 tons of copper in concentrate on monthly
basis, was put into operation in Floatation Veliki Krivelj in Copper mine
Bor (RBB) on August 26, 2008.
According to the words of Dragan Bojović, the CEO of RBB - the company that operates as a part of Mining-Smelter
Basin (RTB) Bor, this unit was out of use for six years and the equipment has been
repaired recently from the Mine’s own funds.
- Over the past two years, RBB invested 15m USD in modernization of mining pits, Floatation unit and rehabilitation of barren land. New machines, bulldozers and dredges have been procured and it is expected that two new heavy trucks will arrive in the mine soon - said Bojović at the press conference in Bor.
He reminded that copper mine Veliki Krivelj had been opened in 1983 and that it had, so far, processed 185m tons of ore and produced 530,000 tons of copper in concentrate.
