Organization of Avala – construction of ethno-village, marking of paths and facilities, possible construction of ski lifts and ski tracks

Expert team of Municipality of Voždovac has elaborated the preliminary project for marking of the area beneath Avala mountain and Avala mountain itself. The matter in issue is installation of about hundred new road signs that will replace the old ones. The plan is that the boards with the names of settlements be installed first, followed by the boards with the names of clinics, schools, post offices and local communities.

The most interesting detail from this project is organization of Avala mountain. The mountain will be rich with the road signs from its foothill to the top. The signs will be made in the trees and they will fit into the milieux perfectly.

Italian tourismologists are already interested in investment in this part of the city. The plan is that the ethno-village be built on the location that is in the vicinity of the future bypass to highway, which would attract big number of foreign guests and Avala would get position it deserves. The entire complex of important city vacation area would be organized. Besides the marking of the hunting area, there is also wish for construction of ski track and ski lift from the foothill to the top of Avala mountain.
