"Putevi Srbije" announced decrease in price of toll for foreign towing trucks by 0.10 EUR per kilometer

Public company "Putevi Srbije" announced on August 24 that it would suggest to the Government of Serbia in two weeks to decrease toll for foreign towing trucks by 0.10 EUR per kilometer in order to increase the traffic.

The CEO of "Putevi Srbije", Zoran Drobnjak, said that the current price was 0.32 EUR per kilometer, which is 7 - 8 cents more than in the neighboring countries, and he added that larger traffic would reduce loss caused by price reduction.

Drobnjak said that that company would make detailed analysis of the market and increase some prices, which are lower in Serbia than in other countries, such as the price for foreign vehicles of the third category (pickup trucks, buses and trucks with up to three axles).

- "Putevi Srbije" annually collect 200m EUR from toll and another 100m EUR from excise taxes on fuel - said Drobnjak.

According to his words, maintenance of 15,000 km of highways and regional and main roads requires another 10 billion RSD (130m EUR) because the maintenance of roads includes maintenance of bridges and landslides.
