Vršac denies - company "Stada" not to be bought by Israeli "Teva"

German company "Stada" that owns Vršac-based concern "Hemofarm" has denied the news, which was published on Croatian web site http://www.poslovni.hr/89406.aspx, that Israeli company "Teva" plans to buy "Stada" Group.

In addition to press conference that was organized in Vršac, following the publishing of that news, company "Stada" reacted by giving statement where it is pointed out that "there were no negotiations with the representatives of the Israeli company about possible takeover of 'Stada'".

According to the statement, the rumors appeared in European media in the past few days, first of all, on regional web sites, that Israeli company "Teva" plans to buy "Stada" GRoup and to become, by investing 4.5 billion UER, the majority owner of the German multinational concern.

German company "Stada" officially became the majority owner of "Hemofarm" in August 2006 when it paid 480.4m EUR for the Serbian company, which was the most valuable takeover in the history of the company 111 years old.
