Directorate for Waters of Serbia has only 25 - 30% of funds required for functioning of waterpower engineering

- Directorate for Waters of Serbia currently uses only 25 - 30% of funds that the waterpower engineering sector requires to function normally - said the Head of the Department for Strategic Planning and Management in that Directorate, Dragana Milovanović.

The state wants to introduce adequate prices of water with the new law on waters and new waterpower engineering policy. Currently, the price of water in Serbia is very low and it amounts to 0.3 - 0.5 EUR per 1,000 delivered liters and it is the lowest in the region.
