(Jasna Matić)

- The rule book about supply of phone services over Internet protocol (VoIP) should be finished within next 30 days - the Minister of Telecommunications and IT Soceity, Jasna Matić, announced on August 20th.

On the occasion of her visit to mobile operator "Vip Mobile", she said to the press that the Ministry would be working on the design of the rule book in association with the Republic TElecommunications Agency, which is the regulatory body for that sector.

The Minister said that it was still early to talk about issuing of licenses for VoIP, but she added that the issuing of licenses in Serbia might not be preceded by the tender.

Matić said to Beta agency last week that the supply of VoIP services in Serbia was not allowed because that field was not regulated. However, several companies are already in that business and the prices of international calls are up to seven times lower than in the offer of landline operator "Telekom".
