Los Angeles to get department store without merchandize

The American department store chain Nordstrom will open a department store without a single item next month in Los Angeles.

The Seattle-based chain of luxury department stores says that this will be its first “conceptual store”.

The store will feature personal stylists, who will order articles in line with their assessment of the customers and in agreement with them. Nordstrom says that the customers will be able to choose and order merchandize online using the store’s computers and pick it up the very next day.

Furthermore, the store will be offering tailoring and manicuring services.

The new store will take up only 279 square meters, whereas an average Nordstrom department store has 13,000 square meters.
