Majority owners of Kutina's Independent TV station - NeT (www.net-tv.hr) have decided to discontinue negotiations with Željko Mitrović, the owner of RTV Pink, which was supposed to become the strategic partner of that TV station.
The CEO of NeT, Zvonimir Kabelka, pointed out in today's announcement that the majority owners had made the decision to stop further negotiations and that "TV Pink will not become the strategic partner of NeT for sure".
Marketing Manager Zoran Kovačić said that, following the reaching of the agreement one month before, Mitrović "became unavailable" and, therefore, the owners of NeT had come to the conclusion that he had not had serious intention to enter Croatian media market.
- We reached the agreement on takeover of the share in the second half of July, we also agreed on the amount and the manner of payment, but when the time came for us to sign the contract and to inform the authorized bodies on the change in ownership structure, Mitrović became unavailable, as well as his associates, although they knew that the agreement had been reached - said Kovačić.
The majority owners add that they will resume negotiations with the other potential strategic partners.
Kutina's TV station NeT was the only candidate for concession of the former Third channel of Croatian national TV station, which went to RTL.
Agency Beta has failed to contact Mitrović to the date.
